Hej alla!! Sorry I haven't posted in forever but well.. I did warn you about my terrible posting! :) So this post is pretty much just going to be a collage of pictures I took on my Russia Tour! There were about 100 other exchange students and we spent 4 nights in St. Petersburg! We also, FINALLY, got to meet most of our newbies! It was so exciting and soooo much fun! So here are tons of pictures and maybe even a couple stories... ;) Enjoy <3
After one of the tours we took, we went to a Russian theatre! They first had a quartet singing a variety of Russian songs then they had various groups of Russian dancers come and sing and dance! It was so cool to watch!
My friends and I all felt so rich after we converted our euros to Russian rubles! At the time, the exchange rate was about 1 euro = 36 rubles, so if someone were to exchange 100 euros it was about 3600 rubles!
Here we actually had the opprotunity to go and watch a Russian ballet! It was undescribable how awesome and beautiful the whole piece was! The one we ended up watching was using all pieces of music by Bach! I think it lasted almost 3 hours, but it was a 3 hours I'll never forget!
We thought that we were so tough... Standing there in our dresses in the Russian snow! Go North Americans :D:D
St. Petersburg was so beautiful to see! It was even better with the 100 other exchange students in our group but just the city in itself was so breathtakingly gorgeous! The multicoloured buildings, even the styles of the houses... I just fell in love with it! I hope that in the future I will have a chance to see more of Russia but for now, I'll just have to manage staying in magnificent Finland! Until next time! Moikka!
